Our Story

With global emissions close to 40 Gt per year, we currently emit far too much CO₂ to live sustainably on our planet. Cutting it fast demands a mix of solutions - efficiency, renewables, electrification, alternative fuels and carbon capture.

Even then, by 2050 we will need to remove 5-10 Gt per year of CO₂ from the atmosphere to deal with residual emissions and to lower the excess CO₂ already in the atmosphere.

Renewables and electrification are well on their way. Ideas to address residual emissions abound. We created Carbonway to act as carbon project developer to help them scale.
