Unlocking the potential of biogenic CO₂ mineralization
We were proud to participate in the National Conference on the Circular Economy of Minerals (MINEREC) on April 3rd, 2025 in Lille, France.
This event sparked insightful discussions on how circular practices — including the use of recycled materials like steel slags and upcycled clays — can help preserve our natural resources.
During the panel “Which by-products are available for low-carbon construction?”, Carbonway presented the potential of biogenic CO₂ mineralization in construction and backfill materials derived from waste, such as bottom ash or construction debris.
We emphasized how this approach enables:
Durable carbon sequestration
Enhanced material performance
New revenue streams for both CO₂ emitters and users.
We are excited to see growing interest in scalable solutions that combine decarbonization, waste valorization, and economic viability.
